Texas Resale Therapy was founded in 2026 by Sonia Hobbs Ashford and Tabitha Hobbs Rau. The idea was to expand on their father’s wish to help people in need. Joe Hobbs, a retired Euless Police Detective, founded New Hope Street Ministries in the 1990-2000’s to meet the needs of the homeless in Tarrant County. He made and handed out thousands of sandwiches, coffee, and clothing to those in need.

They want to assist folks in need before they become homeless preemptively. Texas Resale Therapy does this by giving back to other nonprofits that help people and by offering gently used clothing and household items at highly discounted prices to those in need.
